Rowdies look to continue streak in visit to Toronto

VAUGHAN, Ont. – The Tampa Bay Rowdies will look to move to the top of the USL Eastern Conference 
standings on Friday evening when they visit Toronto FC II at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

Toronto FC II news and notes

•Current record: 1-4-3, 6pts


•Toronto suffered a second consecutive 1-0 defeat last Saturday evening at BMO Field when 
a first-half goal earned Bethlehem Steel FC an away win.


•TFC II has been held scoreless in each of its past five games, with the team’s scoreless 
streak at 510 minutes of action.


•Malik Johnson’s goal in a 3-1 defeat against Orlando City B on April 4 was the last goal 
scored by the side, which has recorded a league-fewest two goals this season.


•Toronto completes a three-game home stand next Wednesday when it hosts the Richmond Kickers 
for a special 12 p.m. ET kickoff at the Ontario Soccer Centre.


Tampa Bay Rowdies news and notes

•Current record: 5-2-2, 17pts


•Tampa Bay remained in second place in the USL Eastern Conference with a 2-1 victory against 
Louisville City FC last Saturday night at Al Lang Stadium.


•Georgi Hristov and Deshorn Brown both found the net, while Joe Cole recorded two assists 
as the Rowdies handed Louisville its first defeat of the season.


•The Rowdies were in action on Tuesday night in the Second Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, 
and took a 3-0 victory against Jacksonville Armada FC U23.


•Kyle Porter, Alex Morrell and Martin Patterson all found the net in the victory, with Porter 
and Morrell’s tallies their first for the club.
