Game Preview: #PGHvTOR By Riverhounds Staff, 05/02/17, 5:45PM EDT PGHvTOR Game Notes 5/3/17 PITTSBURGH (May 2, 2017) – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds (2-3-2) play their second game in five days, hosting Toronto FC II (1-2-3) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 at Highmark Stadium in the USL Game of the Week. Coming off their first home win and shutout of the season, a 1-0 victory over the Harrisburg City Islanders, the Hounds will look to capture back-to-back wins for the first time since August of 2015. Pittsburgh has had favorable results against its Canadian counterparts since Toronto joined the USL in 2015, going 4-0-1 all-time and outscoring the club 14-to-5. Last season saw the clubs draw 2-2 in Ontario before the Hounds nabbed a 2-1 victory at Highmark Stadium. On the year, Toronto currently sits 13th in the Eastern Conference, but have not allowed a goal in three-straight matches – all 0-0 draws. Offensively, Toronto has scored two goals in six matches to date, the lowest output in the USL, and is averaging two shots on goal per game. Wednesday’s tilt will be the first of two meetings between the teams with the Hounds again facing Toronto on Saturday, June 10 at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
