McCrary will be added to the roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and work permit. “We are excited to finalize this deal with Jordan as he has earned this contract through his performances during the preseason with both the first team and TFC II,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent. “This will add depth to our roster and add greater competition for places in our backline.” McCrary most recently spent the 2016 season with the New England Revolution after they selected him with the 10th pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. He appeared in two Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches for the Revs and was loaned to their USL affiliate the Rochester Rhinos, making one appearance for the club. Prior to turning professional, the 23-year-old competed in the Premier Development League for the Carolina Dynamo, and was named as the league’s No. 7 prospect following the 2015 PDL season. McCrary also competed collegiately for the University of North Carolina. McCrary appeared and started in 86 matches registering one goal and nine assists during his collegiate career with the Tar Heels. During his freshman year in 2011, he helped the Tar Heels to a NCAA College Cup and was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team and College Soccer News Freshman All-American selections. McCrary has represented the U.S. national team program at the U-15, U-17, U-18, and U-20 levels.
