The I-401 Derby concludes as Montreal looks to continue its winning streak

VAUGHAN, Ontario – The final edition of the USL’s version of the I-401 Derby is set for 
Sunday afternoon as Toronto FC II plays host at the Ontario Soccer Centre to an FC Montreal 
side that is in its best form of the season with three consecutive victories. Kickoff 
is set for 4 p.m. ET.

Toronto FC II news and notes
•Current record: 6-15-5, 23pts
•Toronto’s hopes of a playoff berth took another hit on Wednesday night when it fell 1-0 
to the New York Red Bulls at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
•Former K-W United FC goalkeeper Nathan Ingham made his professional debut for TFC II 
in the contest, and made eight saves in the game.
•Toronto didn’t manage a shot on goal against the Red Bulls II, and has been held to one 
goal in its past three games.
•TFC II midfielders Luca Uccello and Liam Fraser were both named to the Canada U20 
National Team squad that will visit Costa Rica for a pair of games on Sept. 1 and 3.

FC Montreal news and notes
•Current record: 5-18-1, 16pts
•Montreal rallied late to extend its winning streak to three games as it defeated 
Bethlehem Steel FC 3-2 last Sunday at the Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard.
•Aron Mkungilwa had the game-winning goal in the 90th minute after Thomas Meilleur-Giguere 
had leveled the scored 10 minutes earlier.
•Mkungilwa also added an assist earlier in the game, and was named to the USL Team 
of the Week on Tuesday.
•Meilleur-Giguere and Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla were also named to the Canada U20 National 
Team squad that will visit Costa Rica next week.
