Steel look to boost playoff hopes as Toronto visits Goodman Stadium

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bethlehem Steel FC will try to get its playoff pursuit back on track on Sunday afternoon 
as it welcomes Toronto FC II to Goodman Stadium with both teams looking for improvement on their last outings. 
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.

Bethlehem Steel FC news and notes
•Current record: 6-7-7, 25pts
•The Steel are winless in their last two outings after last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with the Rochester Rhinos 
saw the team slide to ninth in the Eastern Conference entering the weekend.
•Derrick Jones’ team-leading fourth goal of the season put Bethlehem ahead in the first half, but the Steel 
were unable to maintain their advantage as Kenardo Forbes replied for the visitors.
•Jones was announced as the first player from the Steel to be signed as a Homegrown Player for the 
Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.
•The 19-year-old was also named as the No. 10 player on the USL 20 Under 20 list, which began being 
unveiled this week.

Toronto FC II news and notes
•Current record: 5-12-15, 20 points
•Toronto saw its playoff hopes take a big hit as it fell 3-0 to the Richmond Kickers last Saturday 
night at City Stadium.
•TFC II is now five points back of the eighth and final playoff position with eight games remaining.
•Toronto’s next victory will see it equal its total of six wins from the 2016 regular season.
•The duo of Shaan Hundal (No. 13) and Malik Johnson (No. 14) were both named in the inaugural 
USL 20 Under 20 this week.
