Oakville's troubles continue after dropping a 3-1 home result
to a determined and well-organized Toronto Skillz Academy
in matchweek twelve.

The Blue Devils' Khody Ellis (13') had the hosts on the board
first, but then the TSkillz woke up and first Mario Ramalho (38')
potted the equalizer, before Ryan Reid's (41', 66') brace put
the visitors up by two.

"We had a little bit of a conversation after our previous match
versus TFCA and concluded that we needed to take stock
of ourselves from the first to the last - so from the head
coach right down to the players," said Toronto Skillz head coach,
Leslie "Tiger" Fitzpatrick

"We really emphasized putting in a full performance for ninety
minutes within matches and within games," he added. "We knew
coming into an away game that the home team usually arrives with
that energy and momentum so we wanted to absorb pressure as much
as we could, try and hit them on the counter attack with speed,
and I think we were able to do that."

League1 Ontario champions in just their first League1 Ontario
season in 2015, Oakville has struggled to find form in 2016
and again succumbed to some familiar issues.

"We have been giving away individual error goals all season,"
said head coach, Duncan Wilde. "It's been a problem for us,
and it was again today."

"I think it changed the whole mood of the game when we gave
away the first goal, and to concede again before half-time was
disappointing for everybody because we stopped playing,
we simply didn't play well."

A chance at redemption came for the Devils in the 50th minute
in the form of a penalty, but the home side could not make
the opportunity count.

"At 2-1 down, we missed a penalty to go level, and I think
that would have been a major change in the game," said Wilde.

"If you don't score goals, you don't deserve points, and all
credit to Toronto Skillz. They came here prepared, they worked
hard and showed real desire - they fully deserved all three points."
