Durham United FA got off to a dream start after Le Rohne Young's (6')
early goal at home in Kinsmen Park on Saturday, but then it was all
Windsor Stars as Jumbo Iyowuna (36', 41', 58') served up a knockout
hat-trick to guarantee a 3-2 victory for the visitors.

"I'm super happy," said Windsor head coach, David Rimbert.

"When we down 1-0 after five minutes in against this Durham team
I thought we could be in trouble, but the guys showed a lot of heart,
they've been playing great as a team of late, we're getting better
technically and tactically, and we're into better shape,
but yes - gritty is the way to describe that game."

"When we gave up that second goal, we could have easily given
up a third and a fourth, but they buckled down and earned the win."

Both head coaches had words of high praise for Windsor big central
forward, Jumbo Iyowuna, on occasion of his second hat-trick
in as many weeks. With eleven goals to his name, Iyowuna is now
tied with Oakville's Felipe Vilela for third place in the
scoring charts

"The first thing I ever said to Jumbo was that he had a lot
of good attributes, and I'm not sure anyone ever showed him how
he could get into certain spots to take the ball down and
lay off," said Rimbert.

"He's big and strong and reminds me a bit of Drogba in that
he is a handful to take care of in that position. He also makes
intelligent runs and uses his teammates for support.
His teammates are getting confidence in him and he's doing well.
Today was his second hat-trick in a row in this league and that
is pretty good."

"Credit to Windsor, they don't give up, they've got some very
skilled players, and the big boy up front was an absolute
handful today and we just didn't know how to deal with him,"
said Durham head coach, Sanford Carabin.

Carabin thought his players may have underestimated the
Windsor side after their long road trip up for the match,
but hoped the result would serve to reawaken a Durham side
that had a fantastic start to the season.

"We'll have a few bodies back next week that are on injury
list, so we should see ourselves start to get back in sync
here shortly," he said. "It is points dropped today, but
to be honest I think everyone is going to drop points
in this league."

"In the last few weeks I have seen some results that I would
have never anticipated, and I'm sure a few people are going
to look at this result and perhaps be surprised, but every
game is a battle," he added.

"It's not going to be easy to win this league."
