Sigma FC extended their lead at the top of the west division,
and remain the only team with an unblemished record, after
league leading scorer Leaford Allen (9') started off the goals
against Aurora United FC, and Justin Stoddart (35')
and Mike Matic (88') added one a piece to complete the 3-0 win.

"It was an interesting game overall," said Sigma head coach,
Bobby Smyrniotis.

"I thought we controlled the flow from the first to the
ninetieth minute. We scored a couple goals in the first
half that we needed, and it just became a bit
of a different game."

Just after the break, Aurora lost two players to dismissals
as both Simon Adjei (56') Jonathan Parolini (60') were sent
off after receiving their second cautions in the match.

"We're obviously disappointed with the way it went, that two
of our players were sent off," said Aurora head coach,
Jimmy Brennan. "I'm not sure if those two players sent off
were red cards, but I'm sure it will be reviewed and that's
the way it goes."

"I felt that killed the game. For the next thirty minutes
or so we were just defending and everything that you work
on goes out the window. It was a disappointing game, there
were a lot of stops and starts and there wasn't much flow
to it."

Sigma also had to manage the remainder of the match, and
Smyrniotis was proud of how his side went about claiming
the result.

"The opponent had two red cards in the second half which
kind of killed the tempo," he said. "Our guys went a bit
more relaxed and kept the ball for the majority of the
time and did a little bit of a professional outing and
made sure they took care of the game."

"When we scored the third goal that pretty much finished
off the game."

Mike Matic slotted Sigma's third just before the final
whistle, and both sides were left to go forward pondering
the next match.

"We're disappointed, but will take nothing away from
Sigma - they're a good side, they're organized, and they
got three goals that they deserved," said Brennan.
"There is a reason why they are top, so it was a good
test for us, but we'll look forward to the next game now."
