Attendance was announced as 28604. Toronto was not a host of any games in the Women's World Cup in 2015 as we'd hosted the PanAm Games in 2015 so you could say this city was starved to see the national team. Both teams were using this game and the rematch in Ottawa later this week to tune up for the Olympic games next month in Brazil.

The 'Canadian Player of the Match' was announced as Ashley Lawrence. Brazil 'player of the game' was not announced to the crowd but the post game press notes listed Marta.
