Match Preview: TFC II vs. Wilmington Hammerheads FC Battle against a former club affiliate set for Saturday September 18, 2015 Anthony Campos torontofc.ca Toronto FC II continue their 4-game road swing to close off the season against former Toronto FC affiliate Wilmington Hammerheads FC on Saturday. The young Reds are coming off a 2-1 loss against the Richmond Kickers that saw Luca Uccello score his first professional goal for the club and his first in the USL. TFC II sit 11th in the Eastern Conference with 22 points – 4 points ahead of the Hammerheads who sit in last place. The Opposition Wilmington Hammerheads FC will be hosting their final match of the USL regular season at Legion Stadium on Saturday. It’s been a tough season for the Hammerheads to say the least. The team has the worst record in the USL – 3-15-9 – with only one of those wins coming at home. This match also marks the return of several TFC II players that spent time with the Hammerheads on loan from Toronto FC and the TFC Academy last season. Jordan Hamilton popped in 5 goals and added 2 assists in 11 matches for Wilmington and Manny Aparicio played in 19 matches and had one goal. Mark-Anthony Kaye made six appearances with the Hammerheads, starting in 4 games and registering one goal and one assist. Unfortunately for Kaye, he picked up a knock in training last week and will not be in the lineup on Saturday. Quillan Roberts appeared and started in 17 matches, holding a record of 5-4-8 and six clean sheets last season for Wilmington. Defensively the Hammerheads haven’t been all that bad. A total of 10 teams have allowed more goals than the Hammerheads this season and four of those teams are in the East including 4th place New York Red Bulls II. Where the Hammerheads have really struggled – similar to Toronto – is on the offensive side of the ball. The team has only managed to score 20 goals all season, the lowest in the league. TFC II takes on Wilmington Hammerheads FC this Saturday, September 19th at Legion Stadium at 7:00PM ET. Follow along on Twitter @TorontoFCII and watch the action via live stream at torontofc.ca/live
