We sat down with the TFC II midfielder to talk about his game day preparations and some of his greatest
soccer achievements.

Q: Describe yourself on the pitch vs. off the pitch?

Off the pitch I’m a very humble, respectful person. I look to help out in the community a lot and help
people in general.

On the pitch there’s only one thing I want to do and that’s win. I always want to have that
winning mentality.

Q: What are some things you like to do on your downtime?

On my downtime I like to hang out with friends a lot. Family is probably the most important thing
to me so on Sunday’s when we have an off day it’s always good to catch up especially when you’re
on a lot of away trips.

Q: Favourite soccer team?

AC Milan

Q: Favourite player?

Well I’ve been compared to a Carlos Tevez sort of player so I look up to him especially because
he was in this year’s Champions League Final so yeah, I would say Carlos Tevez.

Q: What do you like most about the city?

By far it’s the soccer community. I grew up in Vaughan and I’ve been around soccer all my life
so being around a community where soccer is one of the biggest sports, that’s the best part.

Q: What do you like to do on game day to prepare yourself for the match?

A lot of guys like to listen to music and stuff like that but I’m more restricted. On the bus,
for example, I’ll just sort of tune my surroundings out, leave the headphones out, and just
visualize what I’m going to do on the pitch when certain situations come about.

Q: Do you have any game day rituals or superstitions?

I do actually. We have a left and right sock [that are marked], and I always put them on the
opposite foot. So left sock on right foot, right sock on left foot. When I was thirteen they
didn’t have that sort of thing back then but as soon as Adidas introduced the socks like that
I started doing it.

Q: What is one or some of your greatest soccer achievements?

There are so many. One is winning the National Championship with Kleinburg. It was a two-year
project and we worked really hard towards that. One of the most recent ones was obviously signing
for TFC II because it’s my first pro contract and it’s another step to build through the system.

Q: Best FIFA player on the team?

Chris Mannella, hands down. Just to let you know he’s beaten some of the guys on our team 12
and 13 nothing. I won’t say any names though [laughs].
