The Rochester Rhinos controlled a majority of the action but neither team could find the back of the net. The final whistle blew with the teams knotted at 0 which kept the Rhinos unbeaten streak alive with a record of 6-0-4 on the year. The Rochester Rhinos came out a bit flat to start the match and Toronto FC II used that to put some pressure on the visiting Rhinos. TFCII controlled a majority of the first 25 minutes of play but the Rhinos defense and Brandon Miller came up strong to deny the few opportunities the home team had. A sequence of three set pieces (two free kicks and a corner kick) in a row were enough put the Rhinos on their heels but they banded together to keep the ball away from Brandon Miller and the goal. The final 20 minutes of the 1st half was controlled by the Rhinos. They were able to put together some nice series of passes and showed that they could move the ball successfully against the TFCII side. The Rhinos linked together some nice passes on their attacks, but they couldn’t find a final ball to set up a scoring chance. The second half started off with a flurry of chances as substitute Kenardo Forbes made his presence known early and often. He began the 2nd streaking down the right flank past multiple TFCII defenders, but Quillan Roberts did well to corral his services into the box. Around the 60th minute, play settled down a bit and it became a battle in the midfield with neither team giving an inch. Later in the half, Forbes sent in a corner kick that was cleared, but fell to the feet of Michael Garzi. He took a touch and fired a shot low and hard through traffic that was nearly there but just curved wide of the far post. The rest of the match saw the Rhinos continuing to pressure but not able to find the back of the net.
