Pro Stars hit the ground running in matchweek 19, taking a two-goal lead on Sigma F.C. - courtesy
of Zach Gowlett (10') and Leaford Allen (17') - within the first twenty minutes, before the visitors
regained composure and pulled one back through Jordan Kalonji (29') before the half-hour. A succession
of dangerous Sigma corners, and a Pro Stars effort that had to be cleared off the line, made for
a blistering start to a match that would keep spectators enthralled to the final whistle.

Pro Stars and Sigma would ultimately share the points with a high-flying 3-3 draw after second half goals
from Pro Stars Leaford Allen (55'), and Sigma's Kadell Thomas (56') and Christopher Jaggamath (90 +4').

"I thought the second goal was the pinnacle point for us in the game," said Pro Stars coach, Peter Mellon.
"It gave us the confidence and belief from our team talk that we could win this game, also the injury
to key player in midfield in the second half was a blow for us."

Sigma also maintained confidence that they could win the match, and their composure showed in the manner
which they approached the task.

"Unfortunately in this match we gift wrapped two goals to the opponent in the first 20 minutes
and that will make it a difficult day on any team," said head coach, Bobby Smyrniotis.

"We were confident we can turn the match and we did that by the end, dominating the control, possession
and flow of play. Unfortunately we were unable to turn the result into a win as the opponent did
a very good job defending and took their opportunities very well."

"I am very happy with the performance of the team after the 20th minute and that is what we take from
this game going forward into what will be a very difficult final month for us in the schedule," he added.

"We as a group of players and staff are confident we will find and look forward to the next
challenge ahead."

Mellon and Smyrniotis were unanimous in their praise of the play of Sigma's Kadell Thomas, with Mellon
adding that the performance of Pro Stars as a team unit was especially impressive.

"[Thomas] was particularly challenging," said Mellon. "He was the centre of all their attacks on the
left flank. For Pro Stars, it is difficult and would be unfair for me to single out one or two players
in this game as I felt there were too many players who excelled, in an overall good team performance.

"Thomas has the ability to dominate a game on his own and mesmerise defenders," said Smyrniotis.
"He scored a brilliant goal and was dangerous throughout."

"I thought the Pro Stars GK, Philip Borowski, kept their team in the game on several occasions
especially in the second half and final when there was a great deal of one way traffic," he added.

Pro Stars is home on Saturday September 12 at Victoria Park Stadium, Brampton,
vs. Kingston Clippers - 7 p.m. kickoff.

Sigma is also at home on Saturday September 13 at Hershey Centre, Mississauga,
vs. Vaughan Azzurri - 8 p.m. kickoff.
