Sanjaxx Lions couldn't get one past a well-organized Durham United away side in matchweek thirteen, while
Durham's Joe Zupo (58') grabbed the winner for the visitors.

"Our best player on the night was our captain Joe Zupo," said Durham head coach, Sanford Carabin. "He kept
our back line organized all night, won all his individual battles, and scored the winning goal."

"I thought the entire Sanjaxx team worked extremely hard for the entire ninety mins," he added. "They did
a great job denying us space, especially in the final third, and deserved a lot of credit for their
defensive effort."

"I thought their best player was their central midfielder, David Tavares. He linked well by finding his
forwards and wingers a lot, showing good vision and work rate."

It was not an easy match for the visitors, but Durham managed to re-adjust their game-plan and ultimately
prospered.

"Our challenge was twofold - dealing with their direct style of play, and the playing surface,"
explained Carabin. "The boys struggled initially with the speed of the ball on the turf, and the
bounces from long balls, but adjusted in the second half and were able to dictate play more."

"Our goal early in the second half really settled the side."

After the result, Durham currently sits in fifth place while Sanjaxx occupies eleventh spot.

Durham gets men's matchweek 14 off to a start with another road trip, this time travelling to Kingston
to face the Clippers on Saturday August 1 - 2 p.m. at Queens University.

Sanjaxx Lions also hit the road, playing Pro Stars F.C. at Victoria Park, Brampton
on Saturday August 1 - 7 p.m. kickoff.
