Sigma again spread around the goal, this time in the L1 Cup quarter final vs. Kingston Clippers, dropping the
visitors from Eastern Ontario 6-2 and moving on to the semi-final round.

Duran Lee (14'), Chris Nanco (82'), Eji Mrabure (79'), Alex Halis (32'), Marcel Zajac (66'), and Marcus Hanson (61')
all put their names on the score sheet for Sigma, while Julian Piccioli (87') and Andrew Martin (76') claimed
consolation markers for the Clippers.

"Kingston is a very good team that is organized throughout the pitch and the players stay tactically within
a game plan," said Sigma head coach, Bobby Smyrniotis. "They have had some very positive results this season.
We used our first match with them as a guide for the game as we knew it would be important to take the lead."

"We are an older and injured side still recovering from serious setbacks," said Kingston head coach,
Christian Hoefler. "Lasting an entire 90 minutes with our health intact has been a major challenge this
season. Once Sigma went up 3-0, the match became a high mountain for us to climb."

"We need adequate recovery to perform better in our next match. We will reassess the roster and look for our
younger players to step in and fill vital roles."

Both coaches praised the work of Sigma's #10, Alex Halis, as well as the contributions of centre-back turned
striker, Andrew Martin.

"[Halis] was a continuous threat to our back line," said Hoefler. "The ball was magical at his feet.
Andrew Martin battled with pride, even when down 4-0 he was always versatile and willing to help the
team in any way possible. Scored our first goal after switching roles from centre-back to striker."

"Alex Halis was very good on the day," confirmed Smyrniotis. "In the first half he was involved in all
of our attacks. Although he missed a penalty early on he came back to thread a great pass to Duran Lee
on our first goal and finished with class to make it 2-0. Halis along with [Richmond] Laryea were
dangerous in each of our attacks making it difficult for opponent defenders to track them through midfield."

Sigma moves forward to the semi-final round vs. ANB Futbol at a date and location TBA.
