ANB's Belrum Vartanian (53', 57', 80') and Adonijah Reid (7', 45+3', 70') registered a hat-trick apiece
to down Master's FA Saints 6-0 in matchweek eight. Adam Hewitt got the clean sheet for ANB.

"The score 6-0 is not indicative of the game as we started very strong and our game plan had us confident
that we would take this game," said Master's head coach, Junior Groves.

"We had at least three great chances early and then we suffered a major loss. We are down two central backs
and then our only active central back had to be taken off with a knee strain. Then our goalkeeper and
captain had to be taken off from a collision with an ANB winger."

"The injuries weakened our squad early in the game as we had to move midfielders into defending positions
just to compete."

Masters loss was certainly ANB's gain, and Vartanian and Reid were hungry to exploit the opponent's weakness.

"Adonijah Reid scoring three goals solidifies his presence in the league as one of the up and coming
young stars," said ANB assistant coach, Marcelo Almeida. "The third goal was a nice display
of his talent."

"Vartanian was their outstanding player as his movement and execution upfront caused us problems after
we had to change up our squad," said Groves.

Both teams have very important fixtures ahead, with fourth place ANB also progressing to the quarter-finals
of the L1 Cup, and twelfth-place Masters staring down a growing injury list.

"We have four central defenders and two midfielders out due to injury, so we have to now rely on our
youngsters to come into the squad until our players are back off the injury list," said Groves.

"We will continue to work on returning players to full fitness in preparation for important league and
cup games coming up in the next few weeks," concluded Almeida.

Masters returns to action on Saturday July 18, meeting third place Sigma F.C. at Hershey Centre,
Mississauga, 4 p.m. kickoff.

ANB will also be on the road, heading to Kingston Clippers' home ground of Tindall Field
(Queens University) on Saturday July 18, 7 p.m. kickoff.
