ANB continues to show impressive form, beating Toronto FC Academy 3-1 in League1 Ontario men's matchweek ten.
ANB now sits in fourth place on 17 points, with a game in hand on second place Vaughan Azzurri (20 points),
and third place Sigma F.C. (18 points).

15 year-old ANB forward Adonijah Reid (28') scored the opener for ANB, while Petros Vasilos (61') and
Jahsua Mills (90') added the insurance. Toronto FC clawed back a late consolation goal from their #10,
Tristan Borges (90+1').

"Adonijah Reid and Jahsua Mills played integral roles in the game vs. TFC," said ANB assistant coach
Marcelo Almeida. "Both kept the TFC back-line on their heels and pressured the defence consistently.
Both players had special goals in the match to seal the victory for ANB."

"Reid was their danger man," said Neely. "He scored a goal and was involved in virtually every chance
they created. As a lone striker he occupied and caused difficulties for our entire back line."

"The biggest challenge was our decision making when defending in crisis," he added. "Delaying instead
of over-committing on tackles, and getting our defensive block behind the ball."

ANB's two goals inside the first hour helped the hosts settle into a style that has suited them throughout
the season, drawing the opponent forward and using a wealth of pace in the ANB side to hit back
on the counter.

"Key moment was getting the second goal just after the start of the second half," agreed Almeida.
"This eased the pressure somewhat and allowed more space to be found by ANB as TFC pushed for
a come-back goal."

"Our inability to finish three clear opportunities in the first fifteen minutes was a factor,"
added Neely. "But the key moment was us having good pressure on the ball in the 63rd minute, but
then allowing them to go 70 yards and score in three passes, due to us over-committing tackles rather
than keeping the ball locked in that area of the field."

ANB goes on the road in matchweek eleven to meet Master's FA Saints on Saturday July 11, 9 p.m. kickoff
at L'Amoreaux.

Toronto FC Academy is also travelling, in this case to Sheridan College Stadium - the home of league
leaders Oakville Blue Devils - for a 4 p.m. kickoff on Sunday July 12.
