ANB Futbol handed Oakville Blue Devils their first defeat in any competition during 2015 L1 Cup, Group B play,
taking a 2-0 victory that puts the Devils out of the Cup and moves ANB on to the quarter finals.

The key moment was securing the second goal late in the second half," said ANB assistant coach,
Marcelo Almeida. "We knew we needed to win by at least a two goal margin, without conceding a goal,
in order to advance out of the group and continue in the L1 Cup competition. Despite some clear goal
scoring chances, the players finally responded and converted, which created some nail-biting minutes
at the end of the game."

ANB's Adonijah Reid opened the scoring (22') before forward Jahsua Mills (79') added some insurance
to the scoreline in the final quarter hour.

"Adonijah Reid had his first start, and made it count - scoring one goal and setting up the second,"
said Almeida, highlighting the contribution of ANB's 15 year-old forward. "While Kris Michael played
a strong match, winning balls defensively in the air and on the ground."

"The game was very open from start to finish," said Oakville head coach Duncan Wilde, "with neither
team ever really taking control of centre midfield."

"It was a very exciting game for those in attendance. Progress to the next round was on the line
to the very last minute, as just one goal would have seen us through," he added. "We missed our very
best opportunity of the game with only minutes remaining, and that saw ANB take a very well earned
win and a place in the next round."

Wilde highlighted the work of ANB forward Jahsua Mills - "the most dangerous man of the field"
- while both coaches selected Oakville keeper Karmen Saini as an MVP, particularly for two outstanding
saves in the second half to keep the Blue Devils in the hunt for the quarter final berth.

Oakville gets back to league competition this weekend, hosting Master's FA Saints at Sheridan College
on Sunday June 21, 4 p.m. kickoff.

ANB will also host this weekend, as Windsor Stars arrive at Country Day School on Saturday June 20
for a 9 p.m. kickoff.
