Stephen Ademolu and Brett Holmberg led the Windsor Stars to a 7-2 victory over Pro Stars F.C. 
in Saturday night League1 Ontario Matchweek Six action, with Pro Stars' Thomas Winski providing 
the two markers for the home side. 

Ademolu got the visitors on the board quickly, opening the scoring in the 9th minute and doubling 
it in the 18th. Teammate Stefan Mildrag added another a minute later, before Bret Holmberg got 
his first of the night on 38 minutes. But Winski would reply twice before the half-time break, 
scoring two set pieces of the highest order.

"I thought Thomas Winski scored a beautiful free kick and a very nice penalty shot," said Windsor 
head coach Shane Topalovic. "But Stephen Ademolu was our main attacking threat, and well deserves 
man of the match from our side."

Despite their promising start, Windsor Stars found themselves in a heated battle going into the 
second half, as the Brampton-based Pro Stars got the bit between their teeth. 

"Our biggest challenge was certainly holding them off when they gained momentum towards the end 
of the first half," said Topalovic. "We managed to stay composed and stick with our game plan, 
until we scored again."

Brett Holmberg got his second on the night on 52 minutes, giving a three goal safety net that 
appeared to put the match our of the grasp of Pro Stars. 

"Scoring at the start of the second half definitely changed the momentum and allowed us to open 
up our passing game," confirmed Topalovic. 

Stephen Ademolu got his third of the night in the 76th minute, before a disputed own goal was 
registered in the 78th. Ademolu may yet be credited with the goal, which would be his fourth 
on the night, pending a league decision. 

Windsor Stars take the pitch again on Friday June 12 at McHugh Stadium vs. league leaders 
Oakville Blue Devils, 8 p.m. kickoff.

Pro Stars have an extra day to prepare, waiting until Saturday June 13 to meet Sigma F.C. 
at Hershey Centre, Mississauga, 4 p.m. kickoff.
