Toronto F.C. Academy 5 - Pro Stars F.C. 0 . Mon Jun 1 Written By: Staff, League1 2014 League1 Ontario champions Toronto FC Academy won their first match of the 2015 campaign, in a convincing 5-0 victory over Pro Stars F.C. ?"In blustery conditions, TFCA prevailed 5-0 over Pro Stars Soccer Academy," said Toronto head coach Stuart Neely. "The young TFCA squad got off to a quick start and notched three goals before half, carrying the majority of the play." Defender Robbie Boskovic got the Reds off to a great start, scoring in the 11th and 16th minutes. "TFCA key player on the day was #14 Robbie Boskovic?," confirmed Neely. "He controlled the back line, scored two goals, and began many attacks." Toronto F.C.'s Kevin Timachy added two goals of his own (25', 70') before Cyrus Rollocks completed the rout with a fifth tally for the Reds in the 73rd minute. "We had a terrible game today and it resulted in a humiliating loss," said Pro Stars head coach Josef Komlodi. "Unfortunately we made some basic mistakes in all of our departments. We would like to congratulate to the TFC academy to the result, they punished us for our mistakes." Neely selected Pro Stars midfielder David Alva as the standout opponent. "Pro Stars key player was #10, David Alva," said Neely. "Found space to play and created most of the attacks. Work extremely hard on the day and never quit. A talented player." "A new and young team like us makes very basic mistakes," summarized Komlodi. "We made several of them, but back to the shop and [we'll] keep working." "On the day I felt we played well for long periods and controlled a lot of the match," concluded Neely. "We attacked well at times but played too many long balls. Defensively we did a decent job but at times let the opposition out of areas where we had numbers up. We need to improve our positioning in these moments. I thought we scored some well worked goals and gave little away." Pro Stars will look to rebound on June 6, when they play Windsor Stars at Victoria Park, Brampton. Toronto FC Academy hit the road to Monarch Park Stadium for a June 6 away fixture with Sanjaxx Lions.
