Woodbridge Strikers came from behind to beat Durham United 2-1 in the first round of the 2015 L1 Cup.

DUFC had taken the lead courtesy of a Martinho Dumevski strike in first half injury time, before Victor Munoz
equalized on 50' and Cameron Brooks put away the winner on 67'.

"I thought the first half was even play and [Durham] scored on a quick counter in injury time but
in the second half [we]... deserved the win," said Strikers head coach Peter Pinizzotto.

"In the second half we did not remain consistent with our build up out of the back and made may
unforced errors," said Durham assistant coach Ron Clarke. "[The key moment in the game was] the
defensive error on a set piece in the second half which lead to the winning goal."

"I thought Durham had two outstanding players in the game," said Pinizzotto. "The #10, Martinho
Dumevski, an attacking creative player who also scored on the counter, and I thought #8 Taylor Lord
played very well as defensive MF - good vision and good distribution of the ball"

"For Woodbridge, I thought Christian Cavallini played the best game of the season and dominated
the mid-field with his quick dribbling. Also Cameroon Brooks had a very strong defensive game,
and scored the winner."

"Our player of the game was Joe Zupo," said Clarke. "And for Woodbridge, I thought it was
Victor Munoz."

"We need to be more composed when playing with a lead, and learn to deal with adversity when
down a goal," summarized Clarke. "It was the first time all preseason, and now this season,
that we were down a goal. Our body language turned negative. Sometimes a loss like this
is what you need to to become a better team. We will learn from this and I am confident
the boys will bounce back on Sunday.

"I thought out of the three games this was our best game of the season," said Pinizzotto.
"And I hope this will build some confidence in our team when we play Durham again in the
league on Sunday."
