Durham United F.C. romped to a 4-0 victory over Sanjaxx Lions, courtesy of a Marcus Lees' brace ('21, '53)
and a Martinho Dumevski double ('49, '54), putting the east-side club joint-first in the still young League1
Ontario 2015 season.

Durham goalkeeper Ben Cowman also recorded his second clean sheet of the season, while Durham sit with
a perfect record of two wins, six goals for, and zero against.

"Our team will gain a lot of confidence from this result," said Carabin. "We controlled the game, and
dictated play. We're hopeful this will build confidence but we'll not rest on our laurels, and just
keep pushing to increase our fitness levels, intensity and tempo of our game."

"Our left-sided forward, Marcus Lees, was our best player tonight," said DUFC head coach Sanford Carabin.
"He scored two goals and was involved in the other two - he was our gamechanger today."

"Our biggest challenge was that we are clearly still not game-fit," said Carabin, "as a number of our
players began to tire before the end of the game. We will need to start addresing that in training."

"Their best player was their goalkeeper. He did very well," said Carabin. "We had a number of shots
from distance in the first half, and he kept them in the game."

Sanjax head coach Laza Lowe also singled out his keeper, Tayjon Campbell, for praise, and as well the
efforts of his second keeper - Danny Grant - who came into the match with ten minutes left
in regular time.

"Tayjon is a '98 born keeper, and you can see that his ability in team organization and instruction,
distribution, cutting out crosses are so much better than a month ago," said Lowe. "Another standout
player for us was Shervan Jack, who was playing his first game and made a big impact in organizing
and directing the young players."

"Our biggest challenge was our action when the opposition gained possession - our failure to get
pressure on the ball, or our inability to regain possession quickly. But this is a work in progress,
and as we progress we will continue work."
