Both are long serving players within the USL, coming through the Lynx's Junior Academy Super Y-League teams. They both also captained Lynx U20 teams to the North American Finals. McNamara also completed two seasons with USL PRO's Dayton Dutch Lions before returning to Toronto in a Player/Academy Coach position in 2013. Wilde, a former U20 National team member, has recently returned from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee and both former captains are very much looking forward to the season ahead. McNamara and Wilde are joined on the new Lynx roster by 2012-13 Most Valued Player, Leigh Veidman. Rated as Toronto's top import player in recent seasons, Veidman, a former Liverpool FC Academy player is currently completing his final year at NAIA Bellevue University, Neb. On a busy weekend, Toronto also secured the return of Lynx goalkeeper Matthew Silva, who will also return for his third year in the PDL. Silva recently completed a standout career for Le Moyne College in New York, where he earned the school record for most career shutouts. Silva is another Lynx Academy graduate that has represented his club at all levels of USL. Toronto hopes to be making additional announcements in the near future, as a determined effort to be fully prepared for the new challenges within the realigned Midwest region for the 2014 season.
