Result and details of the Friday September 19, 2014 League 1 Ontario game between Durham United FC and ANB Futbol played at Kinsmen Park in Pickering at 8:00pm

Just before the match kicked off, I was asked through Durham United FC head coach Tony La Ferrara if I would be the colour man for this game! Dino Rossi Jr, the chair of the league was supposed to call it but was at a Parapan soccer match in downtown Toronto. I'd never done this before. I said yes and was given a set of headphones. Asher Roth was the play by play guy. I filled in with some facts that I'm sure are all in these game reports. We were at field level under a canopy. I couldn't take pictures or make notes while concentrating on the broadcast. We were not shown on camera but I saw my name on the final credits.

The game was taped for broadcast the next weekend by the Rogers Community Channel and will be shown to residents of the Durham Region. As I live in the City of Toronto, I won't be able to see it unless a week after that it's shown on the spillover Rogers Sports Channel 368/369.
