Halftime Entertainment: The Bold Dance Company--a group of ten girls danced to a medley of "Started From The Bottom" and "All About The Benjamins" wearing costumes with bare midriffs and construction boots. They came back a few minutes later down to seven women to dance to "Do It Like A Dude" now with bikini tops and black high top boots. The temperature had now dropped to 'see you breath cold' so they deserved the applause for just showing up.

Attendance was about 100 on this cold night. Parkas shouldn't be required for early September when it's still officially summer in Greater Toronto but many had them on. I stopped off at home on my way across town from the afternoon Masters vs Durham game to get mine. Halftime entertainment 'The Bold Dance Company' had it worse as they danced their first number with bare midriffs then their second number was in bikini tops.

Referee Armando Pereira gave out three Yellow cards—all to TFCA players in a game that wasn't rough and was actually wide open.

TFCA had more of the dangerous opportunities but there was usually a Sigma defender to block or deflect shots. Both goalies made some key stops.

TFCA Molham Babouli scored once to increase his league leading goal total to 18 on the season. He played for 67 minutes before being subbed out for Stefan Vukovic.

The result keeps TFCA first and undefeated in the league with a record of 8 wins, 4 ties, and 0 losses. Sigma stays in third with a record of 7 wins, 4 ties, and 2 losses.

A Sigma official said this was the 'fourth' roster they've used this season. Now with their main players away at universities they are down to their high schoolers. A look at the official teamsheet shows about half are that age. Former Toronto FC (MLS) player Emery Welshman was back on the team so his trials for European clubs may be over.

Toronto FC Academy stays undefeated on the season in both league and cup play. Their record will be put to the test in the next week (in fact tomorrow). They were always scheduled to play ANB Futbol on Sunday afternoon—that game has been moved from 1:00pm to 4:00pm to not interfere with the Toronto FC season ticket holders barbeque. Next Saturday they will travel to play Windsor Stars. Now they have to squeeze a game in on Wednesday night when they play a rescheduled game against Woodbridge Strikers—a game that was called off by lightning on July 27th. This will certainly test the depth of the team.
