Attendance eventually climbed to about 50 on this cool night. It was already dark by the start of the game.

This game was bookended by two Vaughan missed Penalty kicks after another first minute goal. I was here when VA Omari Morris set the league record with a goal at 23 seconds which beat a goal scored in Kingston earlier that day by one second. ANB scored on two of their few chances in the first half then missed on two more chances in the second.

Referee Hassain Rifai had a rough game to officiate. He gave out one Red card to each team, awarded two Penalty kicks to Vaughan, and gave out a total of 6 Yellow cards (5 to Vaughan). Vaughan lost Jonathan Lau injured on a tackle at 54 minutes and Shane Lammie who pulled up lame chasing a through ball pass at 73 minutes.

ANB is known for having the three Mills brothers (Jahsua Jason, Brandon, plus their father as an assistant coach) and now they are joined by Matthew and Michael Calder who are twin brothers.

A bloop in the schedule (the pulling of the Internacional de Toronto franchise) meant that ANB hadn't played a league nor cup game for more than a month but they didn't look rusty. Vaughan had won 7-0 against Cataraqui Clippers in Kingston on Saturday.

The result brought Vaughan's record to 8 wins, 2 ties, 2 losses to be all alone in 1st place but now have played two more games than unbeaten Toronto FC Academy who are only two points behind. ANB move into sole possession of 6th place with a record of 2 wins, 2 ties, 5 losses with games in hand of everybody but it looks unlikely that they can move into the top tier of four teams (Vaughan Azzurri, Toronto FC Academy, Sigma FC, and Woodbridge Strikers) and press for the title.
