1st Half:...starts 7:04pm...WS defend south end on this hot and humid evening with dark clouds rolling in.
2 min...TFCA Rodriguez 35 yard freekick from right has WS 5 head ball away. Later TFCA Restrepo takes low 22 yard shot through middle has goalie slide to make catch.
3 min...WS Almeida 25 yard freekck from left has defender clear at 8 yards.
5 min...WS Cordon and Holder can't win Penalty kicks on sprawls on left side of box.
6 min...TFCA Uccello rolls 25 yarder on right into box but defender clears.
8 min...WS player's cross from 28 yards has goalie punch ball away from WS Brooks but play is flagged down.
14 min...TFCA Rodriguez 35 yard freekick from right has TFCA Babouli head 20 yarder that's deflected wide right.
14 min...TFCA Babouli heads wide right from 15 yards when he receives cross from right after cornerkick is worked out.
16 min...TFCA Sacramento and Rodriguez work out cornerkick from right but defender clears ball away when ball is crossed into box.
18 min...TFCA Mannella blasts 40 yarder over players down middle and just over net.
20 min...WS Cavallini on rush down left with TFCA Godinho pushes ball over line for goalkick.
22 min...thunder can be heard in the distance.
23:03 countdown scoreboard clock is stopped. Now lightning can be seen.

Referee David Barrie suspends the game and the players return to the dressing room. Fans stream back to their cars or seek shelter under the canvas of the picnic area near the dressing room. It starts to rain very hard. After 30 minutes ie. at about 8:00pm, the DJ announces that the game has been cancelled. Good call! I have a semi-dangerous drive home as the curb lane on my choices of each road I decide to drive on is deep with puddles.

I expect that with the rules of soccer on how little of the game was played--the entire game will be replayed at a later date.

Attendance I estimate the crowd was over 400 people (the largest I've seen at a League 1 Ontario game). Most appeared to have a link with the club as the two-thirds of the audience that were children, most were wearing Woodbridge Strikers jerseys in just their size. I'm not sure if there was going to be a special ceremony but the U-15 girls were announced as winning their competition at the Disney tournament last week. Long time photographer Tony Pavea was walking the sidelines. I hadn't seen him for almost two years but he said he was recovering from a stroke.
