Attendance was about 60 on this mild night with the sun still out in the first half. Quite a fall off from the other two games I've seen here.

The Clippers started off strong at the beginning of the game for the first 35 minutes and could have had three goals which they'd regret later. After that the game was fairly even until about 55 minutes when DUFC gained control and gradually pulled away when the Clippers had to open up to try to get back in the game. Both goalies had to make some important stops or it might have been a 6-6 score.

The game had a few injuries because of rough tackles. Referee Armando Pereira gave out only three Yellow cards that I counted—two to DUFC.

All goals and assists for DUFC except for the Young brothers were scored by second half subs.

This game was being recorded by Rogers Community Channel for broadcast NEXT Saturday at 8:00am on Durham Channel 10. I was able to see the DUFC vs Toronto FC Academy game for the first time on the Rogers Sports channel 368 just this afternoon. I was thinking it would be the Cup game the two teams played here on Wednesday night but it was the League game played on Friday July 4th. That overflow channel has a Durham United League 1 Ontario scheduled Tuesday night at 8:00pm but whether it will be tonight's game or another replay of the July 4th game is unknown. I live in the City of Toronto so for me and the 5 million people in the broadcast area, that's our only option to see games. I've never seen the game Rogers filmed in Vaughan listed on the 368 channel.

The win moves DUFC's record to 3 wins, 3 tie, 3 losses for 12 points while Clippers fall to 1 win, 3 ties, 4 losses for 6 points. The two teams sit 6th and 9th respectively in the standings. Undefeated Toronto FC Academy have 24 points in ten games and with no playoffs for the league are only being threatened by at most two other teams.
