Grant jumps with legs forward and connects feet to ball at 1 yard on the right post and jams it into that corner of net.

Attendance was about 50 at the start of the game but grew to about 150 at halftime and 200 by the end of the game (although some of them may have been here for the start of the next game in this inaugural weekend double header.

Referee Marie-Soleil Beaudoin gave out only one Yellow card this game and that was in the first half to DFC Hameez Farrell for apparently swearing at a teammate but she'd warned them before with all the kids in attendance.

Sigma had more chances in the first half and after the 60 minute mark but DFC came out stronger after halftime. Both teams need to work on their shooting accuracy.

I didn't recognize as many players as Friday nights game except Nicholas Goddard the DFC captain played for Milltown FC and Niagara United of the CSL over the years. He is an over-22 player and the only import (from Trinidad & Tobago) on the team. Other over 22s are David James (CSL Astros-Vasas last year) and Jordan Dover with backup goalie Eugene Alves and Christopher Mitchell on the bench. Only three over-22s can be on the field at any one time. Head coach Tony La Ferrara I've watched for over the decade in the CSL for London City and North York Astros).

Sigma used all U-23s and no imports. Only player I was sure of was Emery Welshman who was on Toronto FC of MLS last year as a first round pick (and was a grad of the Sigma Academy) and is their captain and striker.

Sigma defender Brandon Goode broke up a 2 on 1 rush at 90 minutes with a great jab of his foot to intercept a pass at 35 yards or it would have been a 2 on 0. The next minute had Sigma's Welshman blast a 20 yard shot not only over the net but over the back fence.
