July 26, 2013 CSL--preview of weekend games (from CSL website)
Media Advisory - Upcoming Games in the CSL CROATIA LOSSES ATTRACTING ATTENTION Winless in three contrasts with an enviable 12-month stretch as CSL champs TORONTO - Friday, July 26 - While Kingston FC have stolen the limelight in the CSL during the first half of the season due to their consistently good performances including impressive statistics in the goalscoring department, attention is suddenly turning to Toronto Croatia for quite different reasons. Two defeats in succession following an enviable 12-month period during which the current CSL champions experienced just a single defeat back in July 2012, is bringing attention to the upcoming game this weekend when the Toronto Croatia visits Nelson Park on Sunday for a clash with ambitious new club Burlington SC. Croatia are winless in three and Burlington would delight in making it winless in four. Toronto Croatia's last defeat - 2-0 in the hands of York Region Shooters - increased the winning streak for the Shooters to seven games and the team from Maple just north of Toronto will be looking to extend that even further with the visit on Sunday to a rapidly improving and in-form SC Waterloo. The southwestern Ontario side are presently sitting just three points behind Croatia with a game in hand. Other teams closely contesting the CSL First Division title, Kingston FC travels to St. Catharines on Saturday and Brampton City Utd are at home to London City the following day.
