KINGSTON JUMP TO A 3-POINT LEAD....Toronto Croatia held to a tie at Windsor

Kingston FC jumped into a three-point lead at the top of the CSL First Division following another 
decisive victory, a 5-1 win over St. Catharines Wolves at the Queen’s West Field in Kingston Sunday, 
while Toronto Croatia faltered 2-2 against Windsor Stars in one of the most entertaining contests 
at Windsor Stadium for some time, two games in the CSL Sunday.

Kingston midfielder Jason Massie opened the scoring at Kingston, his fifth of the season when 
he beat St. Catharines goalkeeper Matthew Greco with a low shot at 17 minutes, but the visitors 
tied the game at 37 minutes, a goal by forward Zack Bewle for a 1-1 score at the interval.

Guillaume Surot struck his first of two goals for a 2-1 Kingston lead at 49 minutes - he scored 
again at 72 minutes, his 14th of the season for a 3-1 lead.

Messie scored his second goal for a 4-1 Kingston lead at 88 minutes and Kingston midfielder 
Catalin Lichioiu chipped the ball over Greco to round out the scoring at 5-1, the goal came 
at the 90th minute mark, the score at the final whistle.

Chris Suta headed into the net from a right wing cross to give Windsor Stars the lead at 15 minutes 
in the game with Toronto Croatia at Windsor Stadium, a 1-0 score at half-time.

The home side went 2-up on a penalty kick at 50 minutes, awarded by referee Arthur Korbiel when 
Croatia defender Sven Aropovic brought down a Windsor forward in the box and David Kadoic beat Croatia 
goalkeeper Antonio Ilic.

Toronto Croatia pressed to get back into the well-played encounter and reduced the lead when Boze Poljak 
beat Anthony Santilli in the Windsor goal with a drive from 28 yards, 2-1 at 57 minutes, and the tying goal 
came at 83 minutes on a penalty after Santilli fouled a Windsor forward closing in on goal.

Josip Keran scored from the penalty spot and the game ended 2-2.

Kingston FC have a 7-2-0 WLT record for 21 points and remain unbeaten at home. Sunday's victory gave the 
team fron eastern Ontario a three-point lead over Brampton City Utd, with Toronto Croatia in third place, 
a 5-0-2 record for 17 points.
