KINGSTON ON TOP.....Croatia, Brampton and Waterloo also score Sunday victories Kingston FC kept up their early season impressive form to score a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Windsor Stars, Toronto Croatia defeated Astros Vasas FC 3-0, SC Waterloo slammed Serbian White Eagles 4-0 and Brampton City Utd just got by Burlinton SC 1-0, four games in the CSL Sunday. Windsor Stars took the lead against Kingston FC at the Queen’s West Field in Kingston, a goal by Erik Cirovski who drove a low shot past Kingston goalkeeper Jaroslav Tesar at 43 minutes and it was 1-0 at the interval. Central midfielder Catalin Lichioiu struck the equalizer for Kingston FC at the 75th minute mark for his third of the season. A cross from Nathan Klemencic from the left wing came off a Windsor defender for Lichioiu to tap into the net. Defender Ryan McCurdy scored the winner for the home side at 88 minutes when he diverted a low left wing cross from Jason Massie into the net from six yards to give Kingston their fifth win of the season and an impressive 5-1-0 WLT record to maintain the lead at the top of the First Division. Toronto Croatia took control to score all three goals in the first half against Astros Vasas FC at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York with forward Kresimir Prgomet opening the scoring at the 22nd minute mark when he drove the ball from 16 yards to the left of Astros Vasas goalkeeper Erno Bostyan. Defender Josip Keran struck the second goal after collecting a loose ball off a corner kick, the goal coming at 36 minutes, and Prgomet scored his second of the match – his fourth of the season - at 45 minutes for a 3-0 score at half-time and at the final whistle. Milos Scepanovic scored his second goal of the season to give Brampton City Utd their third win of the season, a 1-0 squeaker over Burlington SC at Victoria Park in Brampton. The always dangerous Scepanovic cut in from the left wing to beat Burlington goalkeeper Vladimir Vujasinovic with a drive from 10 yards at the 45th minute mark, the score at the break and at full-time. SC Waterloo were impressive in their 4-0 defeat of Serbian White Eagles at Warrior Field in Waterloo, with Adis Hasecic, playing on the right wing scoring twice, at 45 minutes and 82 minutes, his sixth and seventh of the season.
