KINGSTON FC SIX POINTS CLEAR FOLLOWING FIFTH VICTORY..Late winner for Burlington SC Kingston FC jumped into a six-point lead at the top of the First Division standings on winning their third home game of the season by a 5-2 score, while Burlington SC overcame a 2-1 half-time deficit to defeat SC Waterloo 3-2, two games played in the Canadian Soccer League Saturday night. One other game scheduled, Windsor Stars vs St. Catharines Wolves, was called off Saturday morning following overnight rain that rendered the surface at Windsor Stadium unplayable. Kingston forward Guillaume Surot scored from the penalty spot at the 13th minute mark at the Queen’s West Field following a foul on the home side’s Edgar Soglo and Nathan Klemencic made it 2-0 for Kingston at 31 minutes. It was Klemencic’s third goal of the season. Niagara United striker Derek Patterson reduced the lead to 2-1 when he found the net past Kingston ‘keeper Jaroslav Tesar at 37 minutes and it was 2-1 at the break. Soglo increased the Kingston lead to 3-1 at 55 minutes and midfielder Jason Massie made it 4-1 before Niagara midfielder Gary Boughton cut the lead to 4-2 with a low strike at the 84th minute mark. Surot scored his second of the game and eighth of the season at 90 minutes, a 5-2 score at the final whistle. SC Waterloo took the lead after just 3 minutes at Nelson Stadium in Burlington, a goal by Adis Hasecic, but Nicholas Lindsay tied the game 1-1 for Burlington at the 12th minute mark. Hasecic scored his second at 36 minutes for a 2-1 lead for the visitors at the interval. It was Hasecic's fifth goal of the season. Burlington tied the game at 63 minutes when William Tabi found the net from the penalty spot past Waterloo goalkeeper Imad Hakura and Mohmmed Mohmmed struck the winner for Burlington at 83 minutes, a 3-2 final score.
