Halftime entertainment:...There was a mini game with children from the North York Hearts. It looked like a 6 on 6 (as opposed to 20 kids from some other groups that have played here). The players still all chase the ball rather then hold their positions except the goalies. The game only lasts 3 minutes.

Attendance was announced as 19652. The crowd filled in by the end of the first half on this hot and sunny day. TFC warmed up their entire roster on the west side which was in the shade.
Both teams were on three game win streaks. For TFC is was tied for most consecutive wins in club history. Dynamo are currently 3rd in the Eastern Conference and have a chance of placing first by the end of the year.
Man of the Match (who is always a TFC player) was announced as defender Richard Eckersley. TFC had few chances the entire game. TFC players after the game did not walk to the south end to applaud the fans.
Dynamo played the game without 10 goal scorer Will Bruin--tied as fourth leading scorer in the MLS. There was no reason given for him not playing. (ie injury or suspension). We'd heard that defender Geoff Cameron was waiting for a transfer to England.
It's time to update the game program as four players (plus 'on-loan' Joao Plata) of the 28 listed are not longer on the roster. Defender Miguel Aceval now joins Efrain Burgos Jr, Julian de Guzman, and Nick Soolsma as former TFC players.
TFC next game is in the Concacaf Championship League with their first game in the group stage against CD Aguila of El Salvador here at BMO Field at 8:00pm on Wednesday August 1st.
