The confetti was shot out of the north end at the start of the game tonight which was as unusual as TFC defending the north end in the
first half.

Attendance was announced as 20071. It was one of the few Premium price tickets this year. My ticket was $11 more than most other games. The stadium started out half-filled as usual but gradually filled up by halftime.
The weather was hot, sunny, and humid with no noticeable wind.
Man of the Match (which is always a TFC player) was announced as defender Logan Emory. He made some important blocks on NYRB runs and shots. Emory had his hair cut so he no longer looks like one of The Jacksons mid 1970s.
TFC had both their starting 11 and subs warm up on the west side which was the only shady part of the field. pre-game entertainment was from City Dance corps and had six hip-hop dancers. Their returns must have been hard to do on grass. Shows like this border on old Toronto Lynx territory which always annoyed the hard corp fans however its doubtful they had even arrived in the stadium when this troup came on.
The goals started out fast so fast in this game I though it would be a 5-4 game but they stopped after the five minute mark. Closest chance was at 43 minutes when NYRB Kenny Cooper hit the left goalpost from 7 yards and then two minutes later when TFC Danny Koevermans just miss the post from 10 yards.
Our tickets had the image of Doneil Henry on them 'Henry IV' as is his '4' uniform number but he was not part of today's game. Coach Paul Mariner said he had an allergic reaction to something and was on medication. We put up with the world famous Thierry Henry who is among the most recognizable faces in the league. He and Kenny Cooper have a combined 20 goals so far this season while the entire TFC roster scored their 17th goal of the season today. Thierry Henry pulled up lame a few times in the game but at other made some feather touch perfect passes.
Toronto FC extends their modest undefeated streak to four games with today's tie. Red Bulls lose their share of first place with today's tie as DC United beat Montreal tonight and pull two points ahead of them.
Something new today is the PA announcer read the TFC subs today first off before the starters for both teams. Also the stadium video board showed a clock ticking away the extra time just like on television rather than stopping at 90 minutes.
Before the game the club announced the news that midfielder Efrain Burgos Jr had been released. There was unconfirmed news that forward Joao Plata had been returned to his club in Ecuador. Maybe some new signings are being contemplated and some roster space and capt room are being opened up.
Toronto FC's next game is on the road against FC Dallas on Wednesday night.
