CROATIA, MONTREAL ACADEMY AND SC WATERLOO WIN SUNDAY....Drazen Vukovic hits hat-trick 
SC Waterloo’s Drazen Vukovic scored a hat-trick in 6-0 romp over North York Astros

Toronto Croatia extended their lead at the top of the First Division with a 2-0 victory over 
Brantford Galaxy, Montreal Impact Academy blanked Serbian White Eagles 1-0, league title contenders 
York Region Shooters and TFC Academy tied 1-1 and later in Sunday evening action in the CSL 
SC Waterloo romped 6-0 including a Drazen Vukovic hat-trick over North York Astros.

Following a scoreless first half during which Toronto Croatia had most of the play against 
Brantford Galaxy at Lions Park in Brantford, midfielder Boris Tomac came on as a substitute 
to open the scoring for the visitors at 69 minutes. Toronto Croatia defender Josip Bonacin 
headed the ball into the net from a corner past Galaxy goalkeeper Zoran Pusica at 91 minutes 
for a 2-0 score which remained to the final whistle.

Toronto Croatia increase their lead at the top of the First Division, they now have a 13-1-5 WLT 
record for 44 points, seven points clear of second place SC Toronto. Brantford are at 8-9-1 for 
the season for 25 points in 10th place.

Midfielder Wandrille Lefevre scored the only goal from a free kick in the 1-0 victory for Montreal 
Impact Academy over Serbian White Eagles at the Claude Robillard Sports Complex in Montreal, the 
prolific Lefevre found the net with a low drive from 20 yards past Serbian Eagles goalkeeper 
Milos Durkovic, the goal coming at the 55th minute mark.

The game was physical and chippy from time to time and Serbian White Eagles midfielder Ramon Bailey 
was shown the red card at 43 minutes for serious foul play.

Montreal are in 6th place in the standings following the win, they have a 8-3-5 record for 29 points, 
while Serbian White Eagles have a 7-7-4 record for 25 points.

TFC Academy went ahead 1-0 at the 83rd minute against York Region Shooters at the St. Joan of Arc ground 
in Maple, a goal by midfielder Joshua Janniere and just when it appeared the visitors were heading 
for a narrow victory, York Region`s Andre Rollins headed the ball into the net for a 1-1 tie.

York Region Shooters now have a 9-1-9 record for 36 points in third position following the tie, while 
TFC Academy are in fourth position with a 10-4-4 record for 34 points.

A late second half hat-trick by SC Waterloo attacking midfielder Drazen Vukovic sealed the victory 
for the home side against North York Astros at the St. David SS ground in Waterloo, he found the net 
at the 84, 86 and 89 minutes for his 15th of the season.

It was Adis Hasecic who opened the scoring for the Waterloo Region side, he found the net a just six 
minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead at half-time. Mirza Colic increased the lead to 2-0 at 50 minutes 
and Nemanja Simeunovic made it 3-0 10 minutes later before Vukovic scored his hat-trick.

Eric Batchanou of North York Astros was ejected at the 62nd minute.

SC Waterloo improve to 7-9-0 for 21 points over the season, while the Astros are at 2-15-1 for 7 points.
