MONTREAL IMPACT ACADEMY, BRAMPTON CITY UTD WIN CANADA DAY 

Montreal Impact Academy moved back to second position in the First Division standings with 
a 7-0 rout of Kingston FC Sunday afternoon, and in one other CSL  game on Canada Day, 
Brampton City Utd scored a goal in each half to defeat SC Waterloo, 2-0.

Academy midfielder Wandrill Lefevre led the Quebec side with a hat-trick, including a thunderbolt 
of a strike from 27 yards at the 21st minute mark, a drive which left Kingston goalkeeper Kenny Morgan 
with no chance and which put Montreal into a 2-0 lead after Victor Ndiaye opened the scoring 
two minutes earlier at the 19th minute mark.

New signing Josh Gardner made it 3-0 at 35 minutes, the score at halftime and Lefevre scored his 
second goal from the penalty spot for a 4-0 lead at 56 minutes. He completed his hat-trick for 
a 5-0 lead at the 71st minute mark.

Another recent signing, forward Charles Joly scrored twice in the late stages at 80 and 86 minutes 
to round out the 7-0 victory.

Montreal Impact Academy improve to a 5-1-3 WLT record, while Kingston FC suffered their 7th loss 
of the season and drop to 14th position in the standings.

Defender Mark Jankovic opened the scoring for Brampton City Utd at Victoria Park, he found the net 
from close in past Waterloo goalkeeper Imad Hakura at 34 minutes, the score at the break.

Forward Milos Scepanovic scored Brampton’s second goal at the 78th minute mark, he took a pass 
on the left wing to cut inside and find the net past Hakura. The goal stood to the final whistle, 
2-0 for the home side.

Brampton improve to 4-2-2 for 14 points, while SC Waterloo are now at 3-6-0 for nine points 
in the First Division standings.
