Attendance was announced as 20318. A big crowd for tickets sold but a lot of season ticket holders didn't show up. The subway was not operating today between Eglinton and Bloor which made north to south travelling more difficult.
The Man of the Match (who is always a TFC player) was double goal scorer Danny Koevermans. Before the game goalie Stefan Frei was presented with the Esquire (watch company) Player of the Month for his community service.
This was the first time the Rapids were back in Toronto since they won the 2010 MSL Cup against FC Dallas last November.
There were no great chances in firts half but each team had enough to win in the second half.
A different announcer read the lineups today and he was bad--botching names like 'Andy Ear-O' for Andy Iro and 'Ash-Tone Morgan' for Ashtone Morgan.
