Toronto FC defender Dicoy Williams has been named to the Gold Cup roster for Jamaica. The defender is coming off a clean sheet 90-minute performance for
the Reds in Colorado over the weekend. He has formed a solid partnership with Canadian international Adrian Cann at the centre of TFC's backline,
something that hasn't gone unnoticed by Reggae Boyz head coach Theodore Whitmore.

Williams joins teammate Julian de Guzman of Canada as the two Toronto players that will miss time at BMO Field due to the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup taking
place from June 5-25. Additionally, to the south of the hemisphere, Reds' forward Joao Plata could be in the plans for Ecuador in Copa America this
summer. The Toronto rookie has been named to the Ecuador warm-up squad that will play international friendly matches against Canada at BMO Field
(June 1) and take on Greece in New York on June 7.

According to one Jamaican source, Williams will report to his national team on June 2 in Los Angeles. Jamaica is in Group B of the Gold Cup, up against
Grenada, Guatemala and 2010 FIFA World Cup participant Honduras. Meanwhile Canada is in Group C where they will face Guadeloupe, Panama and the
United States.

MLS players joining Williams on Jamaica are Los Angeles keeper Donovan Ricketts, defenders Shavar Thomas from Kansas City, Houston's Jermaine Taylor
and former Toronto FC centre back Tyrone Marshall, who faced Williams at the weekend in Colorado. Midfielders Jevaugh Watson from Houston and Dane
Richards out of New York are on the roster, as are San Jose forward Ryan Johnson and Colorado speedster Omar Cummings.

A record total of 32 MLS players have been named to the 12 Gold Cup rosters. Jamaica leads the way with eight, the U.S. have seven which is just ahead
of Canada's six MLS players.
