Attendance was about 50 with more adults for this game then the Lady Lynx game that ended an hour earlier with a young girls' soccer team in attendance. The weather hot and humid but overcast so it wasn't so bad.

The Fire kept the pressure on the Lynx especially in the first half. Best non-scoring chances were at 8 minutes when CF Brady Wahl took a 25 yard freekick from the left that CF Anthony Arico with his back to goal flicked a header from 5 yards just wide left of the post. At 54 minutes Wahl took a cornerkick from the left that had CF Chris Estridge head a 7 yarder that TL Callum Home cleared from the line with a timely kick. At 76 minutes CF Andrew Craven took a bicycle kick of a cross from the right that he sends over the net from 10 yards. Two minutes later CF Estridge got a short pass and blasted a 15 yard shot that the flying goalie pushes wide left of the post. The next minute had CF Drew Connor just miss connecting on a diving header at 3 yards after CF Wahl's cornerkick from the left flew into the box.

Referee Scott Decker gave out four Yellow cards in today's game which was rough.

Fire maintain their second place status with an 8-2-2 record. This does provide an opening for third place Forest City London who are four points behind but have a game in hand. One of these teams will join first place Michigan Bucks as only two teams in the division make the playoffs. Lynx record is 5-6-1.

Fire Premier wear exactly the same uniforms as the MLS Chicago Fire except they don't have names on their backs. They all wear 'high' numbers from 40s to the 60s. TFC Academy in the CSL also wore high numbers in their first year.
