Attendance was about 50 people with many coming from a young girl's team. This game was held so early in the day as the men's Lynx team was scheduled for 2:00pm. The temperature was hot already but the sky became overcast before the second half so it wasn't so bad.

Best non-scoring chances were in the second half. At 49 minutes QCA Andreanne Gagne chipped a 35 yarder to QCA Veronique Laverdiere who chested down the ball at 18 yards, turned and took a shot that the goalie palmed over the net. At 59 minutes Laverdiere took a 22 yard shot on the left that was over the goalie and off the bar and a defender cleared the ball before QCA Melissa Lesage could get to the 12 yard rebound. At 61 minutes TLL Kinley McNicoll took a cornerkick from the left that had TLL Jessica Bujouves nod an 8 yard header downward and the ball hit the ground and bounced over the net.

Referee Michael Lambert gave out no cards today for a well played, exciting game. I was surprised to see him that night working the line in the CSL league game between Mississauga and Brampton.

Amirals had played on Friday night getting a 2-2 tie in Rochester so at least they had a day of rest in between. Lady Lynx are in the middle of a three game home stand with their other games last and next Wednesdays. No let down from holding the now 11-0 Ottawa team 0-0 until 92 minutes when the Fury scored the winner. Lady Lynx pull three points ahead of Amiral with today's victory.

Lady Lynx only had four players on the bench including two I'd never seen before and no back up goalie. Victoria Mucilli earned the shutout having to make a few important saves, punch away some balls, and be aggressive diving on through balls or running out of the box to clear them.
