Forward Kadian Lecky was a big reason for York Region Shooters win over London City at Cove Road in London, he struck twice -- 10th and 11th of the season – starting with the opening goal at eight minutes and a second at the 28 minute mark. The 1-0 opening score by Lecky was following by a tying goal for London City from Elvir Gigolaj at 15 minutes. It was 2-1 at half-time. Carlo Rivas made it 3-1 at the 47th minute mark and both sides had chances to add to the score during the second half -- including a disallowed goal by London’s Thomas Beattie which was called back by the linesman – but the 3-1 score in favour of York Region held until the final whistle. Hayden Fitzwilliams led Toronto Croatia to their eighth win of the season with two goals at Centennial Stadium, he opened the scoring at the 34th minute after collecting a pass from the right wing to poke the ball just inside the post from close range and Fitzwilliams made it 2-0 with a left foot drive to beat Mississauga goalkeeper Melford James Jr at 87 minutes. Toronto Croatia midfielder Alex Arbelo made it 3-0 for the home side at 93 minutes, a well-placed free kick from just outside the 18 yard line, the ball going in off the post. Brampton City Utd won their eighth game of the season following a scoreless first half at Lamport Stadium in Toronto and it was the Academy team that went ahead on a penalty kick by striker Stefan Vukovic at 49 minutes, a penalty called by referee Gianni Facchini from a tripping incident just inside the box. It was Vukovic’s 13th goal of the season. Brampton scored four goals in succession and it all started when defender Nathan Kelsey of TFC Academy was shown the red card at 75 minutes by referee Facchini for denying an opponent an obvious goalscoring opportunity. Brampton forward Richard West scored from the spot to tie the score 1-1 and it was West’s 11th goal of the season. Forward Jeremy Shepherd put Brampton in front 2-1 at 87 minutes, two minutes later West scored his second goal and his 12th of the season to make it 3-1 and David Velastegui made it 4-1 for Brampton at 93 minutes, a 4-1 final score.
