Attendance was about 50 for this game played in extremely hot, sunny, and humid weather with players glad for injuries so they could take water breaks.

Camilo Benzi earned the shutout for the Shooters and Clinton Irwin did the same for Capital City. Both goalies were not kept very busy as defenders of both teams limited the chances and bad shooting had shots soar over the net or wide of the posts.

Steve Senderovitch was the referee in today's game. He gave out four Yellows. A tie was a fair result. Shooters were upset with the injury time drop ball after YRS Desmond Humphrey was injured. The referee dropped the ball and CC ended up kicking the ball upfield to an open Emir Zmic but a defender cleared the shot in the box.

Best non-scoring opportunities that were actually on target were at 16 minutes when YRS Chris Turner flubbed a clearance and CC Emir Zmic took a 12 yard shot on a slide that was blocked by the goalie. At 32 minutes YRS Kadian Lecky rescued a ball on the CC left end line and passed back out to YRS Dino Gardner who shot low and the diving goalie stopped on the left post. 52 minutes had CC Sullivan Silva run around the goalie near the right edge of the box but a defender clear on the left post. 70 minutes had YRS Desmond Humphreys freekick from 35 yards on right have YRS Ali Hanam head from 10 yards and the goalie take the ball off a YRS player before he could head it in. 90 minutes had CC Evroy Junior Ellis rush on the left and roll a 22 yarder that the goalie dived forward at 8 yards and pushed to right side of box where a defender cleared.

Both teams missed a chance to jump into first place after Montreal Impact Academy lost yesterday afternoon. Impact Academy earned one point on their two game road trip to Southern Ontario with a tie in London Friday night. Capital City earned two points with today's tie and last night's in Windsor—a six hour drive. (again cutting their hotel stay to a minimum). Shooters are in second with the one tie this weekend.

There is a small chance this may be my last report. On Tuesday I am having an angiogram to test the MVP problems I'm having. Most Valuable Player? No Mitral Valve Prolapse...a heart problem. I should be better the next day...a later operation maybe a few months from now will have me weakened for a month.
