Attendance was about 120 on this mild evening.

Referee Yusri Rudolf had to give out only two Yellow cards tonight in a wide open game.

White Eagles had by far the most chances in the game but Stars were able to hit a few times with counterattacks. First chance was at the 1 minute mark when SWE Alex Braletic crossed the ball from 12 yards on the left that Sasa Viciknez teed up for midair kick from 10 yards that the diving goalie pushed wide left of the post. Stars Eric Kiebert had sent in a dangerous cross from 25 yards on the right that Jeff Hodgson had recovered a partial clearance and chipped a 15 yard shot into the left webbing of the net. At 53 minutes SWE Kiril Dimitrov on a 3 on 2 rush pass attempt from 12 yards on the right was off the chest of a defender and back to him where he shanked an 8 yard shot wide right. At 63 minutes SWE Viktor Anastasov crossed from 30 yard on the extreme right that hit the left post and deflected left of the box. At 67 minutes the SWE goalie had to dive to poke away with his fists a through ball from WS Ryan Wise at 16 yards. I've omitted most of the 20 and 25 yard shots that could have been dangerous because there were so many.

The last 15 minutes had Sasa Viciknez, Milos Scepanovic, Filip Prostran, Kevin Souter, and Alex Braletic missed chances that would have won it for the White Eagles.

Windsor brought five subs with them for this Friday night game. In their incarnation as Windsor Border Stars a few years ago, there were times when they were bringing a minimum of players to Toronto. It was nice to see Jeff Hodgson back in the midfield. He was the owner and captain of the Border Stars but now the captain is goalie Anthony Santilli and the owner is defender Filip Rocca.

White Eagles have brought back tall defender Mark Jankovic to this year's team. He and Milos Vucinic had to make crucial foot blocks as the last man back at different times to prevent sure breakaways.

This was the first tie for Windsor this year. Their record is now 1 win, 7 losses, 1 tie. White Eagles record is now 2 wins, 1 loss, 3 ties to hold the 8th and final playoff spot but it's hard to evaluate teams in this league with some playing four more games than others.
