June 3, 2011

St. Catharines Wolves won their third of three this season, Serbian White Eagles defeated CSL defending champions Brampton Galaxy and Capital City FC
scored a home victory against Brampton City Utd., three games in the CSL Friday.

Deteriorating conditions on the field at Club Roma in St. Catharines has forced another postponement with the cancellation of the St. Catharines
Wolves B vs. York Region Shooters B Second Division match scheduled for this Sunday, June 5 at 2 pm.

St. Catharines Wolves forward Matthew Stedman struck the winner in injury time to defeat London City at Cove Road in London. The goal came just when
the close encounter appeared heading for a draw following goals by Matthew Contino, who opened the scoring for the visitors at 24 minutes, and a tying
goal by London’s Elvir Gigolaj at the 70th minute mark.

London came close early when at 18 minutes Michael Marcoccia struck the cross bar with St. Catharines’ goalkeeper Claudio Perri beaten and the home side
lost Younan Samra at 51 minutes when shown a red card by referee Gianni Facchini for Violent Conduct.

Serbian White Eagles were full marks for their victory over Brantford Galaxy at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke after dominating the first half despite
the narrow 1-0 at half-time.

Serbian forward Sasa Viciknez missed the first of nine first half attempts on goal by the home side when his shot hit the left post with only the
goalkeeper to beat – that came at four minutes into the game, but Milos Vucinic did eventually find the net with a goal at 38 minutes that resulted
from a play by Alex Braletic and Milos Scepanovic.

Five minutes into the second half Serbian White Eagles defender Ricardo Mongouia Perez was ejected by referee Geoff Gamble for a two-footed challenge
and 22 minutes later at 72 minutes Gamble awarded a penalty kick to the visitors. Galaxy midfielder Nenad Begovic scored from the spot to bring the teams
on even terms.

The winner came at 78 minutes when Scepanovic deflected a hard cross into the net to put Serbian White Eagles into a 2-1 lead and that score held
to the final whistle.

Capital City FC took the lead in their game against Brampton City Utd. on a goal from the penalty spot at 15 minutes by midfielder Kenny Caceros, but
just two minutes later Richard West of Brampton tied the game 1-1.

The Ottawa team’s Sullivan Silva-Oliveriva scored the winner at 39 minutes, a drive from 20 yards that beat Brampton goalkeeper Roy Blanche on his left
side to give the first-year team the three points.
