MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER QUOTESHEET
SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2009 -- TORONTO FC 1, FC DALLAS 1
TORONTO FC HEAD COACH JOHN CARVER

On the late tying goal:
"I could see a little bit of anxiety creeping in with our guys, as a coach I don't think there's a great deal you can do about that because it's down to individuals then. But it's really disappointing to concede a goal with a few minutes to go because I've thought there was a vast improvement over last week's performance. I thought they had a few chances but they were all from distance, they had a lot of shots and Stefan did well in goal. But a point's better than none at all, and in all fairness we could have lost all three."

On bringing Fuad Ibrahim into the starting lineup:
"I thought the young kid did quite well, it was a big game for him because he came from Dallas so it was a big occasion for him and it was his first start of the season. He's a young guy learning the game -- I looked at other options and thought he was the best for the situation and I thought he did quite well. I had to bring him off because, again, he's not played a great deal of football, he's a young lad developing and he started cramping up so that's the only reason I brought him off, otherwise I would have kept him on the pitch."

TORONTO FC GOALKEEPER STEFAN FREI

On the game and late goal:
"Yeah obviously I'm disappointed I was just trying to keep the team in and give us the 1-0 win and we came up short by two minutes ... so obviously very disappointing."

TORONTO FC FORWARD FUAD IBRAHIM

On getting his first start of the season:
"Yeah you know you just gotta play, it doesn't matter who you're playing against. We just want to win. You just go out there play hard and try hard enough to win. I'm just trying to keep pushing myself everyday, that's all I can do."

TORONTO FC DEFENDER ADRIAN SERIOUX

On the performance against his former club:
"It was disappointing. You know obviously we started off the way we wanted to with the early goal, we held them and limited them to their opportunities but you know I hope it's not going to be one of those years where it comes down to the last two minutes or so where teams are able to capitalize on us. That's one of things we have to focus on, and make sure we can put an end to it."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH SCHELLAS HYNDMAN

On the game:
"You know it's really a great feeling for the coaching staff and for the players and all our fans because I think you saw today that we're better than a 0-3 and I thought being down early and then have the resilience to continue to fight when you're looking at the number of shots we had on goal, and then the amount of saves Frei had to make -- a fantastic feeling for us. We have to start somewhere on a positive note and today was our starting point."

On the late goal:
"I tell you what, I know you all don't love me here but I hate for you to rip up your stories too! You know the ball was brought in I think by Eric Avila and then it was knocked in and just a tremendous goal by Pablo. I mean it's one of those types of goals where everything has to be right, you know for it to come off your heel and you make a 360-degree turn and I think it caught everybody by surprise."

FC DALLAS FORWARD KENNY COOPER

On the game:
"I think that we worked hard we came real close with Dax's header, Dave put a great ball in we were maybe a little unfortunate not to walk in one to one, obviously they had some good chances. We showed great character and fought hard I think we've been working hard and been showing resiliency and everyone is happy to be walking away with a point tonight."

On chances in the second half:
"We came out with a lot of energy, you know we all believed that we could come back fighting and fortunately we were able to pull a goal back with a beautiful shot from Pablo Ricchetti -- it was a great goal and it felt good to get back into the game."

FC DALLAS MIDFIELDER ERIC AVILA

On the goal:
"I think it was a great cross and luckily it took a bounce at the back post, as soon as I went to go get it I saw all the bodies in the box and I just tried to just put it right in the middle and get something out of it, luckily Pablo came in and put it in."
