Toronto FC coach John Carver expects to make changes to the starting line-up for Saturday's clash with FC Dallas at BMO Field (kick off 4:00 p.m. live on CBC). Carver hopes for improvement from his team after last week's defeat against Seattle Sounders FC.

"One thing is for sure, I am going to be making changes to the side," said Carver. "I'm not going to say what those changes are, but there will be changes in personnel. We've changed a few things and done a lot of work defensively this week. The guys have worked on the back four, rotating the central defenders, and they've worked on being more solid. Hopefully we will see an improvement."

Carver has been pleased with the players' performance in training this week after the disappointment of the defeat against the Sounders. "The guys have been really positive and upbeat," he said. "Building up to the game last week there was a lot of hype surrounding the home opener and it was a huge letdown for everybody; players, staff and supporters. The circus is over now, we didn't cope with the situation very well but hopefully we will learn from it. After the performance last week I want us to put on a show."

FC Dallas have started with three straight defeats, but Carver believes they are better than the results have shown. "I don't think it is a true reflection. I watched their game against New England last week and in the first half they did extremely well. They're a good side with some good players. We all know about the threat in attack with Kenny Cooper and he can score goals from anywhere as we saw last season. He hasn't got the same type of movement as a player like Freddie Ljungberg, but he scored against us twice last year so we know exactly what he can do. We can't relax and just think we will automatically win because they haven't won a game yet," explained Carver.
