Serbian White Eagles are the defendings champions following their 2008 championship victory

Venues for the first leg of the two-game home and away quarter-final games to kickoff the CSL playoffs leading to the CSL Championship game on October 24 get underway at Club Roma in St. Catharines this Friday night, followed by the three remaining games over the weekend.

St. Catharines Wolves will host Italia Shooters at 8 pm on Friday, and there will be one game on Saturday when Trois-Rivieres Attak visits Toronto for a game with Portugal FC at Brockton Stadium in the city’s west-end. That’s also an 8 pm kickoff and will be televised live as the CSL’s Game of the Week on Rogers TV.

There are two games on Sunday and both are at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke. Serbian White Eagles, the current CSL defending champions, are at home to TFC Academy, a 5 pm kickoff and Toronto Croatia will host Brampton Lions at 8.15 pm.

The eight teams will reverse their venues to play again during the weekend October 2 – 4, the second leg of playoff games played for points only. Once a game is over, it’s the points that count and if the return game results in the teams being tied on points at the end of 90 minutes, two 15-minute overtime periods will be played and if still tied, penalty kicks will decide the team to advance to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals will be played October 9 – 12 and October 16 – 18 with the final on Saturday, October 24 at 5 pm.
