Toronto FC Academy Senior Team (1-0-1) remain unbeaten in the Canadian Soccer League after a 1-1 tie against Toronto Croatia at Lamport Stadium on Saturday night.

The Reds went behind just before the hour mark when Croatia forward Tommy Ples opened the scoring with a drive from 35 yards that left TFC Academy 'keeper Soitiri Varlokostas with no chance of making a save. It took just four minutes for TFC to level the match. Defender Feras Samain scored his first goal of the season tapping in a rebound from six yards out after Croatia goalkeeper Sandi Matiku had saved Samain's initial effort.

Amadou Sanyang almost won the game for the Academy with 14 minutes remaining but he hit the post with a strike from 20 yards out. TFC Academy lead the standings in the CSL National Division with four points from the first two games. They return to action on Sunday afternoon against Brampton Lions at Victoria Park.
