Attendance was not announced but the league report listed it as 20461. The Carlsberg Man of the Match (who is always a TFC player) was named as Carl Robinson yet again. Does he have a contract with that company?
This game was back and forth with a win quite possible either way. A tie was a fair result and encouraging to TFC who tied the best team in the league however now the season is getting late and TFC is running out of time to get into a playoff spot.
Revolution had so many of their freekicks and shots sail well over the net that cut down on Greg Sutton's workload. TFC Rohan Ricketts had two shots at 71 and 29 minutes that could have been the difference but he rolled them both wide of the goal.
Revolution had regular goalie Matt Reis out with an injury. Also forwards Adam Cristma, Kheli Dube, and Kenny Mansally out with injuries. Midfielder Sainey Nyassi sat out a suspension for too many Yellow cards. TFC are still waiting for Carlos Ruiz to report to the team after acquiring him in a trade with Los Angeles Galaxy last week. He last played for Guatemala in their 1-0 loss to the USA in the middle of the week.
